FORKLIFT OPERATOR CERTIFICATION TRAINING

Course Information

This course is “General Forklift Training” and includes classroom instruction, CBT test, hands-on training and a performance evaluation.

The following topics are covered: regulations for forklift operation, common types of forklifts and their components, pre-use inspections, location of controls and instrumentation, vehicle stability and capacity, techniques and strategies for safe operation, steering and maneuvering skills, refueling and charging procedures and worksite inspections/procedures.

Please note that OSHA requires “employers” to provide training and evaluation of the operator’s performance in the workplace. This additional training at the workplace must be site- and equipment-specific, be documented, and occur prior to allowing the trainee to operate your equipment.
